In the NamibRand Nature Reserve, a private reserve of nearly 2,000 km2 on the edge of the Namib Desert.

The base camp is equipped with star beds, light beds under the stars, and can accommodate a maximum of 8 people.

Oryx and springbok are the most common species of antelope, but the reserve also hosts kudu, zebras, brown and spotted hyenas, jackals, bat-eared foxes and about 170 species of birds including the dune lark, endemic to Namibia. Among the smallest creatures it is possible to observe geckos, lizards, chameleons and numerous species of the typical “tok tokkie” beetle.
During the dry season, from March to November.
