Safari of Emanuele, Carolina and family

Tanzania: the garden of Eden

Three adjectives for Your Journey :

Familiar, great, wild.

The biggest thrill :

The sense of immensity looking at the endless spaces of the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater.

A special sighting :

One afternoon, as we were returning to the Serengeti Safari Camp, we were called by radio: three cheetahs had just chased a gazelle. We quickly got to the sighting and found the cheetahs, probably brothers, with their prey. Unfortunately the sun was already setting and a few minutes later, reluctantly, we had to return to the camp.

A breathtaking view :

The view from the lodge on the Ngorongoro Crater and on the Lake Magadi in the moonlight.

The greatest teaching :

Being in contact with the amazing nature of those places has taught us to love each other with more ease, to watch nature and its colours with different eyes, to respect animals and silence.

A fear that you passed :

The fear of the night and its mysterious sounds.

A small thing :

The bushbaby who every night, at dinner time, appeared at Kilindi Zanzibar in search of fruit and stared at us with his great astonished eyes.

Your guide :

Not a guide in particular, but many guides, all very attentive and knowledgeable.

One thing I do again :

Listen in silence to the continuous bellowing of the wildebeests and follow their migration across the plains of the Serengeti National Park.

Field favorite and why :

Ngorongoro Crater Lodge because it’s a special lodge in a unique location.

Africa : before and after the trip :

Before the departure a bit of fear, after the return the understanding of a place with its rhythms and its rules and now the desire to go back.
