Wildlife

The whale shark is the largest fish in the world, can reach 12 meters in length and feeds only on plankton. In the waters of Tofo it is also possible to observe dolphins and, from July to November, humpback whales. The diving sites are populated with manta rays, sea turtles and hundreds of coral fish species.

When

The best time to spot the whale shark is from November to March.

Why

Intimate and comfortable, the guesthouse is set in a panoramic location on Praia do Tofo, 10 minutes walk from the village and the main dive centers. The waters around Tofo are home to some of Africa’s most beautiful diving sites and are one of the best places in the world to observe the whale shark. Spotting these sea giants under the water’s surface and swimming a few meters from them is an indescribable feeling.
