In a private concession of over 1,800 km2 in the heart of the Okavango Delta.

Itinerary

From 3 to 10 days, with horseback routes of 4-6 hours per day in groups of maximum 7 experienced riders.

Accommodation

Macatoo Camp, the tented base camp, is equipped with 8 tents with private veranda and en-suite bathroom.

Activities

Horseback, boat and mokoro safaris, game drives in 4×4 open vehicles.

Wildlife

The Okavango Delta forms a unique ecosystem inhabited by 130 species of mammals, 89 species of fish and over 480 species of birds. The concession hosts large herds of elephants and buffalo, as well as giraffes, zebras and numerous species of antelope. Among the predators it is possible to observe lions, leopards, spotted hyenas and African wild dogs. Channels and lagoons are the habitat of hippo, crocodiles and dozens of aquatic bird species.

An intimate and authentic tented camp, also suitable for families and honeymooners, located in a splendid position overlooking a large floodplain. The Okavango Delta is a natural wonder and one of the most remote and exclusive destinations for a horseback safari. Macatoo is equipped with over 40 English thoroughbreds, Hannover of Namibia and Kalahari-Arabian crossbreds, as well as saddles, harnesses and qualified guides.
