Where to stay

Despite the touristic development is quite recent and still at early stage due to many years of civil war, the future of the hospitality industry of Mozambique looks very promising. The beauty of it is that the few lodges that have been built in the past decade, mostly owned and run by South Africans or foreigners, are eco-friendly, small sized and set in remote locations. The down side is that being so remote and exclusive makes them quite expensive and difficult to reach. Most transfers to the islands are done by helicopter, light aircraft or boat, making it an amazing journey over the blue waters and white sand banks emerging from the Indian Ocean.
