Kalahari Desert

An eco-luxury lodge set in Tswalu Kalahari, South Africa’s biggest private game reserve. Under the same ownership is the exclusive-use Tarkuni.

Position

At the feet of the Korannaberg Mountains within the Tswalu Kalahari Reserve, covering 1,100 km² of grasslands, red sand dunes and mountains in the Kalahari Desert.

Rooms

9 stone and thatch suites, including 3 for families, with private veranda and en-suite bathroom. Facilities include a swimming pool, a gym and a spa.

Activities

Day and night game drives in 4×4 open vehicles, day and night bush walks, interaction with meerkats, horse riding and children programs.

Wildlife

The reserve is home to over 80 species of mammals including black-manned lion, African wild dog and black rhinos. Endemic and highly adapted desert species such as aardvark and pangolin can be regularly seen. The reserve is home to over 240 bird species.
