Okahirongo Elephant Lodge

Kunene

One of the most remote lodges in Namibia, secluded inside the wild Purros Conservancy. Its twin Okahirongo River Camp is located on the Kunene River.

Position

In the Purros Valley, inside the namesake conservancy, 55 km from Skeleton Coast and about 200 km from Kunene River.

Rooms

7 spacious cottages and one suite, made of terracotta, that all have private gazebo and en-suite bathroom. Facilities include a swimming pool.

Activities

Day and night game drives in 4×4 open vehicles, nature walks and visit to the local Himba village.

Wildlife

The typical fauna of the desert includes elephants, black rhinos, giraffes, oryx, springboks and lions.
