Mozambique

When to go

Mozambique is a large and over 2,500 km long country, whose climate is mainly influenced by the latitude and the proximity to the Indian Ocean. Generally speaking it has the tropical climate typical of Southern Africa, with hot, humid and rainy summer months and cooler, drier winter months. The best time for a safari is between April and October, during the dry season, but Mozambique is first and above all a beach destination. The best months to go scuba diving and snorkeling are from May to September, while humpback whales migrate along the coast from July to November. Turtle nesting happens from November to April, during the green season. This is also the best time for whale shark snorkeling off the Tofo beach. This is a general indication, supposing this is your trip to Mozambique and that your priorities are to relax, scuba dive and encounter the incredible marine wildlife. Every season has its charm though, colours and nuances that make it unique and offers the opportunity of different encounters and experiences.
