Chyulu Hills

At the foot of the “green hills of Africa”, an award-winning eco-lodge committed to nature conservation and protection of the Maasai culture.

Position

At the foot of the Chyulu Hills and in front of Mount Kilimanjaro, inside the Kuku Group Ranch, a private reserve of 1,100 km2.

Rooms

6 cottages and 2 suites of stone and thatch, each with large veranda and en-suite bathroom. Facilities include the Kanzi House, a villa with private pool.

Activities

Game drives in 4×4 open vehicles in the reserve, in the Amboseli National Park and Tsavo West National Park. Walking safaris and horse riding in the reserve. Scenic flights by plane and visit to the local Maasai village.

Wildlife

The reserve is home to 65 species of mammals – including the “Big Five”, cheetahs, African wild dogs, giraffes, zebras and many species of antelope – together with more than 400 bird species and more than 1,000 plant species that survive in different habitats.
