Wildlife

The park’s forests are home to over 70 mammal species including mountain gorilla and another rare primate specie: the golden monkey. Here forest elephant, buffalo, bushbuck, black-fronted duiker and spotted hyena can also be observed. About 180 bird species, with a number of endemic ones, have been identified in the park.
