Ndali Lodge

Kibale National Park

Set on the rim of an extinct volcano, it is a country style lodge with panoramic views over the Lake Nyinambuga and the Rwenzori Mountains.

Position

In a farmland on the edges of Lake Nyinambuga, within 45 minutes from Kibale National Park.

Rooms

8 cottage built of stone and thatch, each with en-suite bathroom and private veranda. Facilities include a swimming pool.

Activities

Chimpanzee trekking, forest walks, boat cruises on the Lake Nyinambuga, visits to the farm, to the Mahoma Falls and to the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.

Wildlife

Kibale Forest is home to 70 mammal species including 13 primate species. Among them there are a population of about 1,000 chimpanzees, with 80 individuals habituated to humans, and other endangered species such as the red colobus and the L’Hoest’s monkey. Over 375 bird species have been identified in the park.

Why

The lodge has an english country house atmosphere and offers stunning views of the Ruwenzori Mountains. Kibale National Park is home to the highest diversity and concentration of primates in East Africa. In addition to the chimpanzee trekking, the visit to the farm and the boat excursion on the Lake Nyinambuga are activities not to be missed.
