Kibale National Park

A simple yet comfortable eco-lodge set deep in the Kibale Forest, ideally located to start the chimpanzee trekking.

Position

In the Kibale Forest, in the North-eastern part of the park.

Rooms

9 luxury cottages, 6 forest cottages, 1 elephant banda and 1 sky treehouse, that all have en-suite bathroom and private veranda.

Activities

Chimpanzee trekking and chimpanzee habituation experience, forest walks, excursions to the crater lakes and to the Bigodi Swamp.

Wildlife

The forest is home to 70 mammal species including 13 primate species. Among them there are a population of about 1,000 chimpanzees, with 80 individuals habituated to humans, and other endangered species such as the red colobus and the L’Hoest’s monkey. Over 375 bird species have been identified in the park.

Why

The lodge is comfortable, ideally located for the chimpanzee trekking and often visited by chimpanzees and other primates. Kibale National Park is home to the highest diversity and concentration of primates in East Africa. The chimpanzee habituation experience allows to spend an entire day with these amazing creatures and learn about their way of life.
