South Luangwa National Park

A seasonal camp with a rustic feel nestled under the shade of huge mahogany trees in one of the most remote areas of the park.

On the banks of the seasonal Luwi River in the heart of the South Luangwa National Park.

5 grass, bamboo and thatch chalets, each with private veranda and en-suite bathroom.

Activities

Day and night game drives in 4×4 open vehicles, walking safaris and game viewing from the nearby hide.

Wildlife

The South Luangwa is home to over 60 mammal species including 2 endemic species: Thornicroft’s giraffe and Cookson’s wildebeest. The park is renowned for its high leopard concentration. Lion, spotted hyena and a good number of African wild dog are also present. The Luangwa River is densely populated by hippo and crocodile. More than 400 bird species have been identified.
