Camel safari with the Samburu Laikipia (Kenya)
A walking safari like in the old times, traveling in a caravan of camels led by Samburu guides. You can walk from a few hours to several days, staying in a permanent tented camp or in light mobile camps. For centuries Samburu herdsmen walk in the northern valleys of Kenya in order to reach villages and markets. Camel, “the desert ship”, is one of their main sources of survival and an important means of transport. Hence a walking safari in the Laikipia region accompanied by Samburu guides with tireless camels devoted to transport food and facilities. An exclusive and extraordinary experience, enriched by the chants and colourful dances of the Samburu.
