Game drives in 4×4 open vehicles, walking, horseback and camel safaris, mountain bike excursions, scenic heli-flights, cultural visits, fishing.
Laikipia region hosts an incredible variety of large mammals, including the second elephant population and half of Kenya’s rhinos, plus big cats and various endangered species including Grevy’s zebra, Jackson’s hartebeest and African wild dog.
During the dry season, from June to October and from December to March.
The lodge has an original style, it is built in natural materials and is set in a remote location. The relaxed atmosphere and the hospitality of the Francombe family: here you are not a guest, you are a friend. Ol Malo is a sort of “luna park” for adventurous spirits and it offers all sort of activities by any means of transport. In particular, two choppers are based at the lodge and available for scenic flights across Northern Kenya. The commitment to conservation and to support the Samburu communities.
