Lamu Archipelago

Position

On the dunes of Kiwayu Island in the Lamu Archipelago, in the Kiunga Marine National Reserve.

Rooms

7 spacious and comfortable bandas, individually designed, made of wood and woven palm leaves. Each has private veranda and en-suite bathroom.

Activities

Scuba diving, snorkeling, kite surfing and wake boarding, fly fishing and deep sea fishing. Kayak, dhow and motor boat excursions. Scenic flights by plane, visit to the local Swahili villages and the town of Lamu.

Wildlife

The waters around the island are home to whales, dolphins, marlin, sailfish, dorado, barracuda and a multitude of reef fish. Sea turtles nest on the beaches, while mangrove forests host many species of water birds.

A remote and wild island to live “barefoot”, with 11 km of deserted beaches washed by the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean.
